SEA DAY

Sea days have their limitations, but if you look hard, you can find interesting things to do. Like touring the ship's laundry facilities. All you have to do is ask the Cruise Manager. So, nine of us cruisers did just that this morning. Karen took plenty of photos, too many to include here.
A row of giant washers is on the right. On the left is the 50-foot long machine that dries, presses and folds bed linen. The machinery on hand (mostly not shown) can do any cleaning job, including dry cleaning. There is one fellow who irons 350 shirts each day. Very impressive.
This afternoon Laundry Manager, Shibu, hand delivered this 8.5 X11 photo to our suite. Not only that, but Assistant Manager, Mustofa, recognized the C.H.E.O. logo (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) on my shirt and told me that when his team washes that shirt they protect the logo with a temporary cover. But wait! Mustafo also remarked that I had a similar CHEO shirt in navy blue. What a memory! These guys have class!
One of the most iconic scenes in western moviedom is the "Final Duel in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". The accompanying music is perfect.
