Day 98

DECEMBER 7, 2019

CRUISING THE PACIFIC OCEAN

That's a model of the Viking Sun on the second deck. It's about 10 feet long

Yesterday, Karen had a sore throat and declined to have breakfast; she stayed in the room. Today, I woke up with a sore throat and declined to have breakfast. But I couldn't miss the afternoon bridge game. There are priorities, after all.

These are the major restaurants on board. There are also meals and snacks available in the Explorers Lounge, the Pool Deck and the Atrium bar.

Let's go back to the movies for a second. Composer Hans Zimmer is a musical master. His repertoire of over 150 film scores, 50 of them nominated for awards, includes The Lion King, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Interstellar, Gladiator, Crimson Tide, Inception, Dunkirk, and The Dark Knight Trilogy. Earlier in this voyage you heard "Tennessee" from the movie, Pearl Harbor. From that same movie is a tune that is special because it has such a pleasing and memorable melody with just a few notes - I call that pure genius. The title of the tune is "And Then I Kissed Him".

Reminder - headphones, a quiet area, lazyboy, close your eyes.
