Day 15
September 14, 2019
BERGEN - in the rain, of course (and a sultry 11 degrees)
Today was a walking day; a couple of miles around the deck, and then off to the city.
I took this photo atop Mount Floyen where we ran into dozens of six-person teams who were just finishing an obstacle race competition. They were covered head to toe in sweat and dirt. Oh, to be young again!
Then, I ran into a troll (the one on the left):
For a country of only 5.6 million inhabitants, Norway is world class in its lifestyle and its accomplishments. Fortunately, most everyone here speaks english, so that's a real plus for us unilinguals.
Not surprisingly the streets near the docks are crowded with Norse souvenir shops. It feels like Government Street.
Tomorrow we take a more formal tour of Bergen.
Just learned the Thompsons are on the Viking Sea heading for Montreal, not the Sun. Ah well.
