Day 9
September 8, 2019
ULLAPOOL - is a village of about 1,500 nestled in picturesque Loch Broom. This a fine starting point for hiking and camping throughout the highland hills nearby. Karen and I walked the streets for a couple of hours in order to get a sense of life here.
We appear to have arrived after the tourist season has ended, since all the hotels, and B&Bs have posted "no vacancies" but their parking lots are empty - i.e. it's closed). I imagine Viking included this port stop "out of kindness, I suppose".
This was a good day to read a book after a visit to the gym.
