Day 160

FEBRUARY 6, 2020

STILL CRUISING THE TASMAN SEA

Last night we watched the movie, Downton Abbey, a new addition to the Viking TV movie selections. If you are a cat lover, you will enjoy A Street Cat Named Bob. If you prefer horses, consider watching Harry and Snowman.

Two bits of news from Captain Lars at noon today. Firstly, the Hobart stop is on schedule and confirmed. Secondly, the stop at Melbourne is cancelled due to forecast adverse weather. That means an extra day in Sydney.

But there was good news too. We 55 "Ultimates" are invited to a "Taste of Opera" at the Sydney Opera House on February 11th.

For dinner, Karen and her friend Bobbi have reserved the private Chef's Kitchen for 10 friends who wanted to show their appreciation to Guest Services Manager, Sam Brown, for her untiring and friendly work on behalf of all passengers who needed assistance of whatever nature. Sam, a South African, is taking her month's holiday beginning tomorrow in Hobart.

We turned in early as tomorrow's excursion in Hobart starts at 7:45 and lasts 9 hours.

When it comes to wine, who doesn't love pinot noir?
When it comes to music, who doesn't love Laura Sullivan's "Pinot Noir"?
